About
Ipek Selin Günhan is a clinical psychologist specializing in psychoanalytic approach. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Bilkent University, where she also completed a semester abroad at the University of Groningen. During her undergraduate studies, she was a research assistant at the National Magnetic Resonance Research Center (UMRAM) and the Bilkent University Development Psychology Research Center. Her undergraduate thesis, "Influence of Genetics on Cognition: Relationship Between IQ and Working Memory in Adolescent and Young Adult Twins," was conducted at UMRAM's Brain Development and Psychosis Studies Laboratory. She completed her undergraduate internship at Hacettepe University Hospitals Department of Psychiatry.
She received her master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Başkent University, with her thesis titled "Investigation of Relationship and Partner-Centered Obsessions in Borderline Personality Organization in an Object Relations Perspective." Following her graduation, she continued her research and clinical work at the Başkent University Stress Management Applications Center. Professionally, she has worked as a clinical psychologist at Ankara Madalyon Psychiatry Center and Bilkent University. She has also taught psychology at Bilkent University, TED University, and Başkent University's sociology department.
Currently, she teaches at the Department of Psychology at TED University and practices as a clinical psychologist in Ankara. She is a member of the Turkish Psychological Association and the British Psychological Society.
